Nathan D. Burkett-Cadena(Ph.D., Auburn University, 2010) is Research Entomologist in the Department of Global Health at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Both his master’s thesis (Comparative Study of Gravid-Trap Infusions for Capturing Blood-Fed Mosquitoes of the Genera Aedes, Ochlerotatus, and Culex) and doctoral dissertation (Patterns of Host Use in Mosquitoes: Implications for Virus Transmission) contributed to this work. He has published 15 professional papers in scientific journals and one book chapter, “Morphological Adaptations of Parasitic Arthropods,” in Medical and Veterinary Entomology (Second Edition).
